The Family Promise Rochester team is integral in our work to help low-income families and families experiencing homelessness in our community. Each team member brings unique past work experiences, personalities, strengths, and connections to our organization. Each month we will highlight a new team member: a staff member, board member, volunteer or committee member.
Today we want to introduce Rodney Livingston.

Rodney is one of our full-time Family Advocates. He works evenings and weekends as a resource for our guests staying in the Promise House. Rodney is passionate about helping people find hope, purpose, and positive direction in their lives.
His professional background includes several years of experience in transportation and customer service. He worked as a Package Handler with UPS, where he built skills in teamwork, reliability, and efficient problem-solving. In addition to that work experience, he had the privilege of serving as a Program Coordinator at Damascus Way and MN Adult and Teen Challenge. These positions allowed him to walk alongside individuals in recovery, helping them build healthy lifestyles, find employment, establish goals, and grow personally. Working in recovery ministry was some of the most meaningful work of his life because he got to encourage and support people as they overcome challenges and created brighter futures.
Rodney is actively involved in community outreach and volunteer work, including serving with the Salvation Army and supporting various ministry efforts to help those in need. His faith is a central part of who he is, and he is passionate about serving others with compassion, integrity, and purpose.
"I look forward to contributing to this amazing team, building strong relationships, and making a positive impact together." - Rodney Livingston
