Shelter Diversion
Keeping Families Housed
Sometimes the best shelter isn't a shelter at all.
When a family with children has just lost their housing — or is about to — shelter isn't always the right next step. Our team works with you to find a creative, individualized path forward that keeps your family out of shelter and moving toward stability.
How We Help
We work alongside families facing a housing crisis to find the fastest, most stable path forward. That might look like:
-
Security deposits and move-in costs
-
Help finding a new place to live
-
Landlord mediation
-
Creative solutions built around your family's strengths and connections
Every situation is different, and our response is built around what a specific family actually needs.
What to Expect
We start by listening. Every family's situation is different, and our team works with you to figure out what path is most likely to get you stably housed — whether that's staying with family, finding a new rental, or something else entirely. Families who receive financial assistance commit to three months of case management.
