Create A Kit

Get involved as an individual, family, group, community organization, or local business by creating kits for the guests in our programs. Each kit is designed to help fill a need for guests staying in the Promise House, moving into their new homes, or engaged in our Eviction Prevention or Shelter Diversion programs.

Each kit represents the ongoing support of you, our community, and shows your dedication to being there for families experiencing housing instability and homelessness in our community.

Welcome Kit

Each guest that comes to the Promise House is given a Welcome Kit. These kits are filled with items they can utilize while staying with us, and they can take everything with them when they move out into their new homes.

Birthday Kit

Help us celebrate birthdays for our guests staying in the Promise House, both children and adults! Each kit contains supplies necessary for making a cake (yes, a boxed mix and can of Sprite make a cake!), decorations, party supplies, and can even include a birthday card that you can sign.

Starter Tool Kit

As our families work towards a sustainable future in their new homes we would like to help prepare them for success with starter tool kits. Ideas to include in these kits are listed to the left, but if you know of other handy tools that would be good you can add them!

Car Kit

Living in Minnesota is not joke when it comes to having the essentials on hand in your car in case it breaks down or the weather is bad.

You can create a car kit for families in our programs so they are prepared if they have issues with their vehicles. You can also purchase an emergency car kit on our Amazon WishList that is already put together using the link below:
