Introducing Our 2025 Impact Report

When I sit down to write something like this, I usually start by looking back at my calendar, my notes, the photos on my phone — anything that helps me piece together what a year actually felt like.
Not just growth in numbers — though those are real, and we're proud of them. We served 95 families, 186 children, and 306 individuals across our five core programs. We kept 149 children in their homes through eviction prevention. 85% of the families who left our shelter were still housed six months later.
But the bigger growth was harder to put on a chart. It was the growth that comes from saying yes when the phone rings at 11pm on a Saturday. From opening Promise House and learning, day by day, what 24/7 family shelter actually requires of an organization. From going from two staff members to fifteen, and watching a team come together around a shared promise: that no family in Olmsted County should have to face homelessness alone.
This year, we showed up for parents priced out of housing, sleeping in cars and motels, working hard to protect their children from the stress of instability. We sat with families through some of their hardest days. And we got to celebrate with them on some of their best ones — keys in hand, a new lease signed, a child sleeping in their own bed for the first time in weeks.
None of that happened alone. It happened because of a community that decided this work was worth investing in. 93% of our 2025 support came from local sources — Rochester-area foundations, individual donors, faith communities, businesses, and our own Olmsted County. Neighbors helping neighbors stay home.

The need keeps growing. So does our resolve. We know what works, we know who we serve, and with this community beside us, we're building a future where every family has a home.
